I firmly believe in accountability – we all need to be trusted to perform our roles to the best of our abilities. I try to lead and serve by example, and therefore hope that the Carrick Wealth Private Equity team sees my example as one to follow. I believe our role is a simple one – we need to be great, not mediocre. Our clients deserve great service and great solutions. 


What is the best part about your job?  

The best part of my job is working with a self-motivated team of passionate people. I also cherish the relationships that I have built with my clients. 


Tell us about your personal and professional growth while working at Carrick.  

I have grown tremendously, both personally and professionally during my time with Carrick. Working with people teaches you empathy and kindness whilst also focussing your attention away from yourself to achieve the best for them. Nobody is the “finished article”. We all need to be willing to learn from our mistakes and from the perspectives of others. Working at Carrick has taught me that every day is an opportunity to be better than I was the day before. 


What is a typical day at work like for you?  

I generally start the day with a quick meeting with the team during which we discuss our plans for the day. I’ll then make phone calls to confirm my appointments for the day and to set up appointments for the next day. My appointments will be a combination of meeting with new clients and reviewing meetings with my existing clients. I will also spend time during the day in joint meetings with my team of advisors and their clients.
